Synthetic Gemstone Royal Blue Moissanite Silicon Carbide SiC Raw Materials High Hardness Customization
Description
Moissanite is an extremely rare natural silicon carbide crystal. However, due to its scarcity, most of the moissanite circulating on the market today is artificially synthesized by high-tech means such as high temperature and pressure method and chemical vapor deposition method in laboratories. Moissanite shows great potential and application value for its excellent physical and chemical properties. Moissanite is widely used to make a variety of exquisite accessories, such as engagement rings, necklaces, earrings and so on. Its sparkling fire color and bright color make Moissanite jewelry more dazzling in the light, becoming an ideal choice for many people to pursue fashion and quality.
Properties
High Hardness: Moissanite has an extremely high hardness of 9.25, second only to diamond, ensuring durability and abrasion resistance.
High Refractive Index: Its refractive index range of 2.65-2.69, far beyond the refractive index range of diamond (2.417), making moissanite can show more brilliant fire color.
High Dispersion: The dispersion of Moissanite is as high as 0.104, which is more than twice that of diamond (0.044), and this property allows moissanite to show richer and more brilliant color changes in light.
Stable Chemical Structure: As a silicon carbide crystal, moissanite has a stable chemical structure, good corrosion resistance to most acids, bases and other chemical substances, and is not easy to undergo chemical changes.
Growth Technique
High Temperature and High Pressure method (HTHP) : Raw materials such as graphite and silica are put into high temperature and high pressure equipment such as six-sided top press. Under conditions of high temperature (usually more than 2000 °C) and high pressure (usually more than 5 GPa), the raw material is broken down and recombined to form silicon carbide (SiC) crystals. After a period of growth, the required moissanite crystals are obtained. Finally, the crystal is cut into a gemstone shape and polished.
Chemical Vapor Deposition method(CVD) : This process uses steam containing carbon and silicon as a raw material. At high temperatures, these vapors are deposited on a special substrate and gradually grow into silicon carbide crystals. Compared with the high temperature and high pressure method, the chemical vapor deposition method can control the crystal growth process and quality more accurately. Similarly, after cutting and polishing, the final Moissanite stone is obtained.
Feature of Royal Blue
Royal blue gemstones have been admired since ancient times for their stunning beauty and extraordinary hardness. This color is often associated with serenity, wisdom and spiritual insight. In addition, these precious stones also symbolize nobility, truth, sincerity and loyalty. In many cultures, blue are believed to bring blessings and divine favors.

FAQ
1.Q: Is synthetic moissanite as good as a real diamond?
A: Yes, moissanite is probably the best choice for a substitute diamond. Moissanite is a very hard stone like a diamond which has a 10 on the Mohs hardness scale; moissanite is rated a 9.25 which is extremely durable.
2.Q: Do you support customization?
A: Yes, we do. We can customize sizes, colors and other requirements.
